Lavender Chamomile Soap was introduced at the NHS Centenary. Making this soap is an a great demonstration of the pH changes that occur during the soap making process. Using alkanet root (Alkanna Tinctoria), the oil start our red, after the lye is added the mixture goes to green and when the saponification is finished and is ready to use, the soap is purple.
Containing lavender essential oils and topped with chamomile flowers and lavender buds, this soap is made using the Same-Day Soap method. Which means you can use it the day you make it.
